Friends from other meetings in our Area (Doncaster, Hope Valley and Nether Edge) will join us for worship, business and social time.
On this occasion, it’s a day-long meeting, starting with hot drinks and welcoming at 10.00. It’s also an all-age meeting, so children and young people will be part of it – indeed, we hope the young people lead activities in the afternoon. The event will be themed around “Caring for our natural world”, in keeping with Britain Yearly Meeting’s commitment to sustainability. Everyone’s welcome, whether you’ve been to an Area Meeting before or not. Here is a draft agenda and timetable.

Tea and cake is always important, which is why it has its own space on the outline timetable. It’s a way of showing our care for each other, and how we might nourish and help each other to grow. Given the focus on “Caring for our natural world”, we are also hoping for catering at this Meeting to emphasise food and drink that is kind to the planet. There are many dimensions to this; and at AM, we would like to use plant-based food and drink to show our commitment to sustainability. That means really trying to reduce the amount of meat, fish, dairy products, and eggs that are used in preparing our food for one another, and coming as close as possible to a vegan event.
