All Day Area Meeting: Sat. 26th Nov. 10am-4pm Nether Edge

Friends – the next Area Meeting on Saturday 26th November is a very special one. We shall meet, as last year, at St. Andrews Church, Psalter Lane, Nether Edge, Sheffield. After a morning of business, including reports from Quaker Life, Meeting for Sufferings and Area Meeting trustees, we shall enjoy a shared lunch (bring a contribution to share if you can), followed by our guest speaker, Juliet Prager, deputy recording clerk from Friends House. She will be opening up discussions on “Healing the Rifts after Brexit”.

Traffic disruption on Sunday 30th and no 9am meeting

There will not be a 9.00 am Meeting for Worship on Sunday October 30th due to possible transport problems due to the 10k run taking place.

Friends should also be aware of traffic disruption when attending the normal 10.30am meeting for worship, due to the 10k run. The run is from and to the city centre along Arundel Gate and Charter Row, and along Ecllesall Road and then round Endcliffe Park on Rustlings Road, Graham Road, Riverdale Road, Endcliffe Vale Road and Brocco Bank. The race starts at 9.30 am but most roads will be closed from 8.30am, with all roads finally reopened by 4pm.

Notices, 23rd October

Diary dates
Next week there will be a brand new Sheffield 10k race on 30th October, involving road closures in the city centre and the Ecclesall Road area – please be aware and plan alternative routes to meeting if needed. There will be no 9 a.m. Meeting for Worship next week because of the road closures.

Also next Sunday after Meeting for Worship: Friends of Cresst will be having a Book and Bun Sale. Any contributions of paperback books or cakes will be welcome. Many Thanks for all your support
