Walking In Sheffield; Sat 15th Sept

Come with me and Zelly the dog on a walk around Manor Park and Attercliffe. This walk is part of the Sheffield Inner City Round Walk (download from https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads/travel/walking/walkingmaps/east.html). I hope to do more parts of this walk in future.

Meet at 9.30am at the Spring Lane tram stop. This is just before the tram turns onto City Road just above the cemetery. Also many buses including 120, 123 50, 44 along City Road. 20 minutes from the city centre. We will finish at the Woodburn Road tram stop in Attercliffe, in good time for the wedding in the afternoon.

Distance 2.75 miles/4.5km.

We hope to have a picnic breakfast in the ruins of Manor Lodge, and explore the community development work in the area – http://www.manorlodge.org.uk.

If you want to come, contact Gordon Ferguson (0114) 268 6458, gordon.ferguson@phonecoop.coop.

On the day phone 07528286469 – please do not text this number.

All Weather Walking: The walk will take place so long as at least one person confirms they will come. As Billy Connelly says, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing” .
