Sustainability and Spirituality Explorations from 20th Sept

Following the 2011 Swarthmore lecture on sustainability and spirituality (http://www.gci.org.uk/Documents/Text-of-Spoken-Swarthmore-Lecture.pdf), a three part study group series will be taking place at Sheffield Quaker Meeting House on September 20th, September 27th and October 4th.

This has arisen out of a desire to explore our meeting’s working through the implications of Minute 36 (http://www.quaker.org.uk/files/Minute-36-YMG-2011.pdf). The sessions will use a dvd of the lecture and will be facilitated by members of our own meeting. It may be you have not read or seen a Swarthmore lecture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swarthmore_Lecture) or it may be that you, along with many in meeting, are trying to work through what it means spiritually to live a more sustainable life.

The aim is then to share this journey with others, experiencing and reflecting together on what this lecture has to say to us about our Meeting and our lives. We encourage as many people as are able to come along and take part.
