Beginning 2nd September for 7 Sundays 1-3pm.

local artist Patrick Amber will be holding 7 giant puppet and lantern making workshops on Sunday afternoons from 1.00pm – 3.00pm in the chapel in the Burngreave cemetery. Everyone welcome but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Quaker stall at Sharrow Vale Market on Sunday 7 October

Nether Edge Meeting is organising a stall to be held at Sharrow Vale Market on Sunday 7 October, the last day of Quaker Week. Help is needed in setting up the stall, staffing it and taking it down at the end of the day. If you could help for an hour or two between the hours of 9am and 5pm please get in touch with Rober Spooner rmspooner@btopenworld.com or shadwoolgrove@btinternet.com
We hope to have Fairtade goods, Hlekweni beads, cards for Double Joy to sell and leaflets to hand out. If you have any ideas about what else we could have on the stall please get in touch with Robert or Shad.

Burngreave Chapel and Cemetery Apple Day; Sunday 14th October. 11.00am onwards

The Friends of Burngreave Chapel and Cemetery are holding their annual Apple Day in the cemetery on Sunday 14th October. 11.00am onwards.
There will be apple information and tasting, apple juicing, apple eats – pies, preserves, etc, fair trade games, seed/ plant and book swaps, the last of Patrick Amber’s puppet and lantern making workshops, a guided walk round the cemetery and a lantern parade at dusk.
Come and help or just join in the fun.
