Picnic at Hazelhurst CSA - Sun 15th July after meeting

On Sunday 15th July, there is the Quaker picnic at Hazelhurst Community Supported Agriculture project. This is an agricultural co-operative on the south side of Sheffield in the beautiful Moss valley. As well as the picnic, there will be a chance to look round the 12 acre site and talk to the growers.

Discover this exciting and innovative way to encourage local food production and link the city to the countryside. More about Hazelhurst here: http://www.hazelhurst.coop/ and in the local paper here: http://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/news/going_back_to_the_land_1_4135356.

If you haven’t been there before, it is a bit of an adventure to find. Gordon (gordon.ferguson@phonecoop.coop) will guide a group on the Tram from the Cathedral tram stop, and walking the last bit; John Boutell (spingyman@gmail.com) and Gillian Hind (gillianhind@thebluehouse.plus.com) are thinking about cycle routes; and Huw Evans (huwnevans@aol.com) will be coordinating car sharing.
