  • Coffee And Scones Morning every Wednesday, 11am – 12.30pm in garden and social area upstairs. Starting 7th,September. Meeting For Worship at 1pm in Library.
  • Soul Work warmly welcome everyone to an exploration of the parable of the Paralysed Man on Saturday September 10th here at the Meeting House – 9.30am for drinks, prompt start at 9.45am, finishIng by 1pm. We will be looking at our understanding of sin, trust, forgiveness and healing knowing that areas of our own lives can also be paralysed. With greater consciousness we can raise our level of trust and so bring to our lives and to the world an experience of greater healing. All welcome.   • Also on 10th September:* Double Joy Fundraiser,* 6pm til 10pm at Sheffield Central Quaker Meeting House. Our very talented Naomi and Donald will be treating us to their gorgeous bluesy melodies. You will have a chance to offer your skills and talents to fellow friends in a mini auction. (eg offers to bake a cake, lesson in map reading, write a poem….) And… Gordon and Horace the Horse will be very bravely shaving/waxing their hairy legs for Double Joy. Please sponsor them and cheer them on the night. Will be sending a link for online sponsorship shortly. Please bring food to share and invite friends. Free entry.
  • Area Meeting will be held here on Sunday 11th September at 1.15 p.m.
  • The the Quaker Faith & Practice reading group will meet at Kiri and Richard’s home in Crookes at 7.30, looking at Chapters 8 and 28. All are welcome.
  • Looking further ahead, on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th October as a Meeting we are organising and hosting an exciting weekend of theatre, as part of the Off the Shelf Festival. There will be two plays by the Journeyman Theatre Group. On Saturday, 15th we’ll be joined by the Friends Historical Society and will host a lecture given by David Boulton: “Christ’s Banner and the Red Flag”. We’ll give more detailed information out closer to the time, but it would be great if the dates could go into your diaries now.
