Looking further ahead it’s the Annual Remembrance Day and peace picnic on Sunday 7th August to mark Hiroshima day. Meet in the Meersbrook Park walled garden between 2pm & 5pm. Fliers on table for more details.

Happy news!
Rosie Carnall is marrying Tim Relton this summer. As Tim is not a Quaker they have chosen to complete their legal marriage at the Town Hall. The wedding celebration will be a meeting for worship at Sheffield Quaker Meeting House at 1.30pm on Saturday 13th August, this will last for an hour and be followed by tea and cake afterwards. Rosie would be glad for Friends to come to this special meeting for worship. A children’s activity will be provided. It would be really helpful if you can say if you plan to come so we can be sure we’ll be ready to welcome the right number of children, and that there will be enough seats, and enough cake! We anticipate it will be a bit of a squeeze so please email Rosie (rosiecarnall@yahoo.co.uk) to let her know you’ll be there.

Next month it’s August: please sign up for helping to clean the Meeting House over the summer.

Free on-line Quaker History course: we’ve received information about this free on-line course starting in October. The title is “Radical Spirituality: the Early History of Quakers”. We’ll send more information around by email on the list, but do ask if you would like help accessing it. (https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/quakers/1)
