Proposed intervisitation to Malta Quaker Meeting - November

From our friend Linda Hoy:
Proposed intervisitation to Malta Quaker Meeting.
Several Friends have shown an interest in this, especially inviting non-Quaker partners and/or family members along, so here are the suggested flights and accommodation details.

Flying out by Ryanair from Manchester on Friday 4th November at 11am – £80
Return to Leeds/Bradford on Wednesday, 9th November, leaving Malta at 12.00 midday 60 euros
Prices are without hold luggage (we might add just one or two cases between us, if necessary). The weather in November is normally warm and sunny – tho’ it can rain – so we’re not likely to need much luggage.
We could travel together by train from Sheffield to Manchester Airport or, if there are enough of us, hire a minibus.
There is a frequent bus seProposed intervisitation to Malta Quaker Meeting.rvice from Leeds/Bradford airport to Leeds station.

Suggested Hotels:
5 nights at the Preluna hotel in Sliema single occupancy from £180 (£30.50 per night)
Or sharing a twin room £112 (£26 per night)
(The Preluna has a very nice heated pool, gym and saunas and public meeting rooms. Other facilities on their website – such as the outdoor pool and rooftop jacuzzi – will be closed in winter). They will also collect us from the airport.

Or 5 nights at the Roma Hotel single occupancy with breakfast £94 (£19 per night)
Or sharing a twin room £49 (£10 per night)
Further economies can be made by using triple or quadruple rooms.

I have tried both these hotels and can recommend them. They are on the same stretch of seafront, so we don’t all have to stay at the same hotel. Another nearby hotel is the Chalet – a similar price, but I haven’t stayed there.
All these hotels can be located on

Sliema is the location of the Maltese Quaker Meeting and, if we stay nearby, Maltese Friends would like to join us for a meal and/or an evening meeting for worship at the hotel. Or possibly Experiment with Light. They are eager to meet us.
