Wild swimming! Sheffield Quakers really do like to live adventurously...
A series of *‘wild swimming’ *trips has been organised for this summer. Wild means outdoors (though not in a formal swimming pool) – rivers, lakes, reservoirs etc. Of course the events will only take place where such swimming is allowed. The first is on 2nd May in Chatsworth River, and people will leave together after Sunday meeting for worship. There are 3 other similar events planned for the summer, ending on Sunday 5th September.
In order to get to the swimming site, a certain amount of walking is usually involved. Wearing a wetsuit is a possibility! Organisers will try to arrange that everyone who needs a lift, has one.
