At business meeting on Sunday 11th April, the meeting decided that for a trial period of 6 months, we will have some extra meetings. In effect, every week there will be the option of our main meeting at 10.30 – 11.30 or an alternative meeting, which will inevitably be a smaller group.
Normally business meeting is on the first Sunday of the month. To ensure that Friends are given every encouragement to attend, the smaller meeting for worship that day will be in the library at 10.45 – 11.30. The slightly later start allows for a quiet preparation time after main meeting has started. Those Friends will be able to join the main meeting and share in the notices.
On the fourth Sunday (and fifth Sunday, when there is one), there will be a meeting for worship from 9.00 till 10.00 in Room 3 upstairs. This will be the same as the meeting which already happens on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays.
These changes have come about as a result of much discussion and our great Threshing Meeting back in January. Anyone is welcome to try any of these meetings. It may well be that you choose to attend the big meeting sometimes, and one of the small ones at other times. We will review all this in October.
