A free-flowing discussion around themes and ideas prompted by the book. This month’s book is Miss Garnet’s Angel, by Sally Vickers. (Yes, it has just been changed from what was previously announced, by agreement of the group who met on Saturday 6th March). The book is set in Venice and the plot is described as ‘decorous, kind and funny’ ….‘subtle, unexpected and haunting’…..‘moving, thought-provoking’. It covers issues of aging, loneliness, good and evil, sexuality, religion and belief.
