Quaker Meditation
Would you like to share your favourite meditation? Normally we arrange the next meditation a month in advance.
The format is:
7.30 to 7.45 tea & introductions.
7.45 to 8.15 meditate (usually led by one of the group)
8.15 to 8.45 we share – in a Quakerly way —what came up for us during the meditation.
8.45 [Those who have to] leave to get the bus home.
8.45 to 9: Those who don’t have to rush off, then have a chat & arrange the next session.
The next meditation evening will be on Thursday 23 February 2012 at 7.30 pm. We will be practising Sahaja Yoga meditation. Sahaja Yoga meditation was developed during the 1970s by Nirmala Srivastava. Sahaja Yoga can be practiced while listening to music or in silence. Nirmala Srivastava described meditation as an individual journey towards God. The aim of Sahaja Yoga meditation is to enter a state of thoughtless awareness in which one can access God’s grace.
