Intervisitation to Malta: Nov. 4-9th

Just a reminder about our visit to the Quaker Meeting in Malta.

About 8 or 9 of us are flying out from Manchester on Friday, Nov 4th and returning on Wednesday 9th . We’ll be staying at the Preluna and Roma hotels in Sliema, but of course, anyone else is welcome to come along and make their own arrangement for alternative flights and accommodation. The plan is to attend Quaker meeting on the Sunday and meet socially with members of the meeting as well as spending time exploring this beautiful, historic island.

This Thursday, 22nd September at 4 p.m., it’s the AGM of Ben’s Centre. All are welcome.

Also this Thursday, in Huddersfield, an Israeli woman called Sahar Vardi will be talking about Israel / Palestine from 7.30. Sahar refused her military service in 2008 and since then has been working with peace groups in Jerusalem. She is currently working for American Friends Service Committee – the equivalent of our QPSW. Information has been circulated by email, but do see the clerks if you can’t access this.

Inner Quest is starting again on 18th September, on the third Sunday of the month, after Meeting for Worship from about 12 noon – so you can still get your coffee and chat.

The first session on Sunday 18th September will be part of the Spiritual Review, exploring how we can open up conversations about our experience of caring for one another in the Meeting as a whole.
